LA’s Hot Breakfast Tots
A comforting, cheesy breakfast casserole layered with crispy tator tots, fluffy eggs, and savory cream of onion soup, topped with green onions for a fresh finish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb tator tots
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of onion soup
- 6 large eggs
- 1/2 cup green onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, evenly spread the tator tots in a single layer.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, cream of onion soup, garlic powder, and salt until smooth.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the tator tots.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the casserole.
- Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chopped green onions over the top before serving.
