Creamy VELVEETA Broccoli Cheese Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 8 ounces VELVEETA cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 package frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
  • Add chopped onions and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until onions are crisp-tender.
  • Whisk in flour until the mixture is smooth and blended.
  • Gradually add chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly, and cook over medium heat for about 2 minutes until heated through.
  • Add VELVEETA cheese cubes and broccoli to the saucepan.
  • Cook and stir for about 5 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and broccoli is heated through.
