Smokey Sweet & Spicy Glazed Meat Skillet

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef or pork
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste salt and black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add ground meat to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks until browned and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
  • Pour the sauce over the cooked meat and stir to coat evenly.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, letting the flavors meld and the sauce thicken slightly.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot with rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread to soak up the smoky glaze.
