Cheesy Ground Beef Sauté

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and sauté until translucent and starting to caramelize, about 7 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute until fragrant.
- Increase heat to medium-high, add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Cook until beef is browned and cooked through, about 8 minutes; season with black pepper.
- Reduce heat to low and evenly sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
- Cover the skillet and let cheese melt for 3–4 minutes.
- Serve warm, optionally with a side of your choice.
