LA’s Hot Breakfast Tots

A comforting, cheesy breakfast casserole layered with crispy tator tots, fluffy eggs, and savory cream of onion soup, topped with green onions for a fresh finish.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb tator tots
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of onion soup
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup green onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, evenly spread the tator tots in a single layer.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, cream of onion soup, garlic powder, and salt until smooth.
  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the tator tots.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the casserole.
  • Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle chopped green onions over the top before serving.
