LA’s Roasted Yucas and Sweet Potatoes
Crispy roasted yuca and sweet potatoes seasoned with garlic and onion powder, delivering a simple yet flavorful LA-inspired side dish.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs yuca, peeled and cut into sticks
- 2 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into sticks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Toss the yuca and sweet potato sticks in olive oil until evenly coated.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper over the vegetables and toss again to distribute the seasonings.
- Spread the yuca and sweet potatoes out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Roast in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown on the edges.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
