Ingredients
  

  • 1 recipe Creamy Macaroni and Cheese
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 cup salsa (choose your preferred heat level)
  • 4.5 oz can chopped green chilies
  • 1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and no longer pink, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  • Drain any excess fat, then season the beef with salt, black pepper, and chili powder. Stir well to combine.
  • Add the salsa and chopped green chilies to the skillet, stirring to incorporate with the beef. Let simmer for 5 minutes to meld the flavors.
  • Meanwhile, prepare your creamy macaroni and cheese according to your favorite recipe or package instructions.
  • Once the beef mixture is ready, gently fold it into the prepared macaroni and cheese until evenly combined.
  • Stir in the fresh cilantro just before serving for a bright, fresh finish.
  • Serve hot, optionally garnished with extra cilantro or a dollop of sour cream if desired.
