Roasted Brussels sprouts get a sweet twist with melted chocolate chips drizzled on top, creating an unexpected but surprisingly tasty combo.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  • Spread Brussels sprouts cut side down on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Roast for 15-20 minutes until tender and caramelized, shaking the pan halfway through cooking.
  • Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the hot Brussels sprouts.
  • Let the chocolate melt for a couple of minutes before gently drizzling it over the sprouts with a spoon.
  • Serve warm as a playful sweet-savory side dish or snack.
